Ghost of Tsushima: Legends allows for matchmaking in its Story mode and Survival activities, giving players the ability to enjoy its multiplayer content without needing to have a friend, or friends, at the ready. In only a little over a week, however, Ghost of Tsushima: Legends will be getting a new activity in the form of a raid event called the Tale of Iyo , which, according to Sucker Punch, will not support matchmaking, so players will need to have teams prepared beforehand. The developer indirectly states that matchmaking won't be possible because of how challenging the raid will be. At a bare minimum, it wants players to be at Ki level before they even think of attempting it. Anyone familiar with raids in video games probably saw this coming. Raids are end-game content meant to test the limits of a multiplayer team.

Why not auto matchmaking for raids and dungeons!? :: Destiny 2 General Discussions
Weapons found during the raid generally have special abilities that make the raid itself easier on repeat attempts or hard mode. The raid is set up for six players, but it can be completed by three. Two can do all but the Gorgon section. One alone can solo the bosses, with luck, skill and maybe a bit of cheese. One of the cornerstones of this play schedule for characters of level 26 and above is a weekly attempt at the raid — maybe two for those advanced enough to tackle hard mode. We do know that over half a million players have finished the raid , and that number is growing every day.
